Sage 50 Accounts – Batch Change option

Sage Accounts – Batch Change option. This was introduced in v11. You can use this option to simultaneously amend informtaion in multiple records, for example, customer credit limits.

To use the Batch Change option to update credit limits:-

  1. Customers > select th required records (by clicking on them) > Batch Change
  2. Click the Credit Control tab > enter the required credit limit > Save
  3. When prompted to save the changes > click yes

Creating a Sage log in

This month’s tip is how to set up your Sage account or Payroll so that you can access the Sage website directly from the software. Sage have a wealth of information on their site and you will be able to download any updates with ease.

Firstly, if you have not already done so you, need to create yourself a Sage log in.  To do this you will need  your account number or serial number, then follow this link Sage Login.  Once you have created your log in you will need to activate it. Sage will send you an email.

Once you have created your log in you can now set this up in both yoScreen Shotur accounts and payroll (depending on your version).  To do this go into your software and along the top where it starts with file choose Tools then Internet Options. This should take you to a screen that says Sage Account. In payroll you will need to select it from the tabs along the top.

Now enter the email address and password and if you have it your account number. Click OK.

You are now ready to access the Sage website directly from your software. Further a long the top menus there is an option Weblinks. When you click this it will give you different options (depending o your version), just choose any that start with Sage and you will be taken to their site.
